Olga Golodec, the vice premier of Russian government, at the meeting of All-Russian choral society has instructed its members to establish single digital music library. Such library must consist of sheets music, texts and recordings of exemplary performance of musical works.
“It is appearing that we don’t have a good music library. Colleagues, there is such instruction to create digital library”, – she said at the meeting. When there is a necessity to find certain sheet music and a text of musical work in internet, very often there are different editions. “There goes a very serious process of disharmonisation. We will take this job and create a good music library”, – she underlined.
She also stated that the library should include exemplary performance of musical works because you can’t always find a good performance of work, which you could hold as example”, – she said.
