Russian government has serious plans to create a new authority special for intellectual property regulation. Such authority would be designed only for IP in Russia, like IPO in UK, patent office in USA and other similar authorities in different countries. But the question is the nature of such authority.
Russian government decided to clarify all unclear matters at the brainstorm with all stakeholders concerned. How IP should be managed in Russia in order to streamline and create good opportunities and climate for new inventions, patents issuing and what organizational of this authority should be – agency or service – and who will be in supervising charge – ministry of economic development or government?
