A few years ago the Russian internet was \u201cabsolutely pirate bay\u201d where the illegal copies of movies appeared promptly after release, Roskomnador\u2019s CEO said. \u201cNow situation is different \u2013 6 thousand resources have been blocked and 11 thousands web-sites have deleted illegal copies of movies\u201d, &#8211; he reported.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif; font-size: 14pt;\">Roskomnadzor\u2019s CEO intends to continue to work with rightholders and promised to \u201cclear out the internet\u201d. He believes the legal online cinemas have won from Roskomnadzor\u2019s activity and received additional 60% revenues and more subscribers. He did not mentioned that legal online video platforms mostly provide videos for free with advertisement and their business models look like surviving hard times.
