One media house has published several images on its web-sites in order to illustrate articles. The author and copyright owner of these images has not provided publishing house with permission to publish its images. Copyright owner has filed a lawsuit for copyright infringement.

According to these amendments, operator of search engine must publish on web-site of search engine its trading name, place and address of residence and email address for communication.

Russian Ministry of Culture (MinCult) has proposed amendments to law on “State support of Russian cinematography”. These amendments repeal permission necessary for distribution of movies in Russian internal market if movies in question have been produced for TV broadcasting. Owners of internet cinemas have a hope that these amendments would also cover online distribution.

These amendments aim to impose additional tax on online outlets selling goods in Russian marketplace. If the companies, who would be obliged to pay new tax, will not pay this tax, the access to their web-sites, i.e. online trading platforms, will be restricted in Russia by Roskomnadzor at the request of Russian tax service.
