The Russian government has introduced new law to Russian state duma. This draft law provides creation of one database containing all information on each Russian citizen. There should be data on birth, name, basic documents confirming certain status of persons, relationships with other persons and estate.
Such base should be useful for taxation purposes, “improving state and municipal management” and tracking the income and tax payment of natural persons. The Federal Taxation Service is authority responsible for building and maintaining such database. The law is to be entered into force from January 2022.
