After duly research the Russian ministry of trade and industry has names the most popular category of counterfeits in Russia – the products of light industry. 20% of almost all products of this industry are counterfeited; the monetary assessment counts up to 725 billion Roubles in 2017.
According to ministry about 42% of the Russian citizens buy counterfeited goods due to their price – it is lower in comparison with original goods. The minister deputy said “the citizens buy counterfeited goods and most often don’t think about the quality of good, the main factor is the price.” But among the counterfeited goods have been also identified the food products (21%) and pharmaceuticals (10%).
