Russian minister of culture outraged by the “Hollywood monopoly”

The Russian minister of culture – Vladimir Medinsky – believes the Hollywood is a danger for Russian cinematography. According to his words only the movie Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them “has occupied up to 70% of screenings in November”. The minister believes it is necessary to strengthen state protectionism in Russian cinematography; otherwise it would be destroyed by the “world Hollywood machine”.
