Publicly available channels are to be distributed through so called “one window” in internet according to the new recently proposed draft law. Other web-sites, which don’t participate in “one window scheme”, are to be blocked. There is already the candidate to be such “one window” operator. The draft law aims to create the single system of legal distribution for 20 publicly available channels. This system should be launched from 2020.

A new draft law has been introduced to Russian state duma. This draft law proposes to enable electronic mail box for internet user only after checking of user’s cell phone. In other words under the draft law the emailing services is available for internet user only after his/her identification by cell phone. If identification fails for any reason the mailing service provider can disable emailing service.

The Russian federal state budget should be the main sponsor who help to realize the intention. The Russian ministry of communication and digital development has already drafted the rules of such “sponsorship” in the form of law. The beneficiary of this sponsorship would be the Russian publishing house “The Big Soviet Encyclopedia”. This publishing house would receive money from state budget to found and maintain the “national interactive encyclopedic portal”.

According to current Russian law if the VPN provides any internet user in Russia with access to any web-resource blocked in Russia such VPN is to be blocked. How Russian internet watchdog – The Roskomnadzor (RKN) – aims to implement such task is not clear, perhaps to block entire internet. Anyway, it considers another idea: to penalize them – imposing fines on VPN failing to block access to forbidden web-resource in Russia.

First of all the CEO divides his strategy in two parts. First part is the “follow the money” approach. The second main part is negotiating with search engines. It seems the last more complicated than deprive pirates of financial resources. The CEO said it is necessary to block the casino advertising. Comments closedOne deputy from Russian State Duma has proposed to delete account in social network if it was inactive during one year. The deputy believes if the account owner has died his account and page in social network is to be deleted. So, how to define whether holder of account is still alive – he should post something during the year. If the account – as well as its holder – is silent that means its holder is dead. Simple logic, but implementation of this idea is impossible.

Yandex was required to provide Russian Federal security service (FSB) with session encryption keys. Now, Yandex’s managing director has stated that Yandex and FSB have found solution. Does it mean Yandex provided FSB with encryption keys? There would not other solution except the one appropriate – providing access to keys.

In Russia there is one interesting occasion. In The commercial court of Krasnodar there is one bankrupt case. The party of the case has sent to judge the motion in envelope with reproduction of “The Judgement of Cambyses”. There was not anything special in motion. It even does not matter what the case is about, the matter is the judge got indignant and scheduled separate court meeting in order to find out why the party has sent its motion in envelope with questionable reproduction.
